Announcing My Brand New

Kingdom Hospitality Program

Professional Hospitality for SDA Churches

Why is Church Hospitality so Important? Listen to my interview on Adventist Radio London

Kingdom Hospitality Program for SDA Churches

Dear Pastor,

It’s simply frustrating isn’t it, you’re working 60+ hours per week, juggling preaching, leading, strategising and training but there’s still more you need to do to get your ministry to where you want it to be.

You love your role as a Church Leader, and you have a great vision for your ministry, but you don’t have enough time to focus on ‘church growth’, let alone balance your professional duties and family life.

You know your role as a disciple is to introduce others to Christ, to welcome and nurture people as they walk through the doors of your church; and to meet each one at their point of need, but you can’t do it all by yourself.

To add to the already mounting pressures of your role, you’re trying to recruit, train and oversee your ministry team to be the ‘face’ of the church, but for some reason, they can’t seem to consistently deliver the Christ-like hospitality which people are expecting.

Thus, congregation numbers are declining (particularly millennials and youth), and you don’t know what to do to keep people engaged or motivated on a week-to-week basis, let alone how to nurture and develop them to become ‘mature’ believers.

You won’t give up, you can’t give up, you must push forward and press onward towards the goal, but if you don’t get help soon, you don’t know what you will do.

How do I know? Because I’ve witnessed it, heard about it and unfortunately even been on the receiving end of several ineffective, yet well-intentioned ‘hospitality’ ministries.

That’s why I’m investing my time, energy and 10+ years of professional hospitality management experience into helping church leaders like you embed a culture of professional hospitality within their ministries.

So together we can, as Christ instructed; make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28:19) and proclaim the Gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15). Just imagine how many more lives could we impact for the Kingdom if you and your team learned the following?

Feedback from my Hospitality Program

“I learned to be more confident in approaching others.”
“I learned about the different steps I need to take to accommodate my guests.”
I learned “The importance of making people feel welcome.”
I learned “areas of welcoming at the door (and) identifying people who are in need.”
“I learn(ed) that our members should be viewed very much like customers. That would enable us to be intentional in how we deliver ministry from start through to finish.”

Please see below details of my 10-Week Kingdom Hospitality Program. Which was designed to help you: impact your community positively, evangelise effectively and disciple the next generation of Christian Leaders.

Blessings & Impact,

10-Week Kingdom Hospitality Program

In this module you will learn the characteristics and distinctions of:

Kingdom Hospitality
The Hospitality Industry
Hospitality in Your Church

The dictionary defines Hospitality as “The friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors or strangers.” The fulfillment of the description, however, will be different depending on the context of the situation. Thus, it’s crucial to understand Hospitality from a Biblical perspective, church perspective and industry perspective, so that you can embed a culture of professional hospitality within your church.

In this module you will learn:

The difference between Vision & Mission
How to create a Vision & Mission statement How to communicate both to your congregation, community and team

Proverbs 29:18 says that “where there is no vision the people perish…” (NIV). Moreover, from an enterprise perspective where there is no vision, people don’t know where an organisation is headed, so any route will take them there; which is why there is so much confusion in the life of our churches. That’s why having a clear, succinct vision and mission statement are essential not only for the church as a whole but for every ministry team.

In this module you will learn how to create:

A Simple Project Plan
A Business Model Canvas
A Full Enterprise Plan

In Luke 14:28 Jesus asks us a critical question “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?” (NIV). Jesus is referring to the task of planning, and it’s an essential element of starting or growing any ministry; thus every department should have a plan. The plan is a roadmap for everyone involved to follow. Without a roadmap how can you expect people to know which route to take?

In this module you will learn how to:

Define your Customer Service standards
Understand the elements of Customer Service
Understand the benefits your customers seek

Contrary to belief, customer service doesn’t start when people arrive at your church. It begins wherever the customer begins their journey with you (e.g. online, word of mouth, passing by). People will begin to form an opinion of your church and make a decision as to whether you’re the right ‘fit’ for them, often before they’ve visited. Similarly, customer service doesn’t end when someone leaves either; just because you get them through the door, doesn’t mean they’ll come back!

In this module you will learn how to:

Understand your customers needs and wants
Introduce Salvation as a solution to a problem Listen attentively and ask open questions

For some church folk, the term ‘sales’ carries a negative connotation, and it is this attitude which is hindering people understanding Jesus’ FREE, priceless gift of Salvation. Selling is nothing more than providing a solution to someone’s problem (Salvation is the solution to EVERY problem) by building long-lasting, meaningful relationships. Thus, selling is an essential skill that should be learnt and refined for proactive hospitality, evangelism and discipleship to take place.

In this module you will learn how to:

Define your target audience
Create a promotional marketing plan
Utilise Digital Marketing channels

Sales and marketing work in tandem, understanding basic marketing techniques are necessary to promote your church’s actives, engage with your target audience and utilise online marketing platforms to share the Gospel. We’ll look at the different ways in which you can use social media and other digital marketing tools to advance the Kingdom.

In this module you will learn how to:

Develop a Welcome, Assist and Service (WAS) team for your events
Implement the WAS technique embrace & serve a diverse range of guests

Events are your opportunity to demonstrate your hospitality and when done ‘right’ events can accelerate a church’s growth and lead to a higher number of people giving their life to Christ. There are so many moving parts when hosting an event; it’s important to dedicate a separate team to focus on delivering an exceptional Welcome, ongoing Assistance and outstanding Service (WAS) pre and post-event. I developed the WAS technique to accomplish this purpose.

In this module you will learn how to:

Understand the process of innovation
Develop an innovation strategy Embrace creative practices to serve Millennials and Gen Z (Youth)

The ‘secret’ to attracting younger generations, isn’t a secret at all. It’s quite simple; be creative, be innovative and think outside of the ‘traditional church’ box. Millennials (of which I am one) and Gen Z (our youth), have shorter attention spans than most, enjoy being a part of a community which ‘gets’ what they’re going through and will listen to and support their imaginative ideas – It’s vital you understand how to do this and do it well.

In this module you will learn how to:

Build a high-performance team
Motivate and reward your team
Utilise team theories

The key to success to embedding a culture of professional hospitality is hiring, training and managing the ‘right’ team members. While everyone may be enthusiastic about ‘helping out’ the hospitality ministry not everyone has the skill set or attitude to be an effective member of the team (harsh, perhaps, true – 100%). Thus, it’s imperative that you can select, develop and deploy a team of friendly, hardworking, positive ambassadors of Christ.

In this module you will learn how to:

Implement popular models of leadership
Develop the next generation of leaders
Identify how and where you can improve the way you lead your staff

Despite having Jesus as an example, some of us still struggle with the concept of ‘Personal Leadership’. To be a great leader, you must first understand your leadership style and the different models of leadership which can be put into practice. Then you need to start developing the behaviours, mindsets and leadership skills necessary to run your church and your ministry teams effectively.

You will receive access to:

Planning and Finance Templates
Team Exercises
Enterprise articles and e-books

To support your learning and help you implement the concepts quickly, you have access to a Resource Library. The growing Library contains templates, team exercises, articles and e-books which will help you with planning, budgeting and streamlining your activities so you rarely have to start any processes from scratch.

Feedback from my Hospitality Program

The course “opened my eyes to areas where we are lacking in hospitality.”
“I like(d) the course because it focuses on how to welcome guests into the church and going out to meet them in their environment.”
“I would recommend this training to all members of NWCSDA.”
“The content was very good, and the style of delivery was excellent.”
“The course is very informative, so would like to see the whole church take the course (members).”
“The course taught me not to feel offended (and) how to be professional.”

We started as an in-person training company, so I know I could easily charge £7,500 for a program of this length and calibre, but I wanted to ensure that smaller churches and independent ministries would be able to benefit too.

That’s why I’ve priced the program at a very affordable £7500 | £3999 (per team of 5), which is a mere £79.98 per person, per course. What’s more, to celebrate the launch of the Kingdom Hospitality Program, I’m offering a launch discount of £750, making the program only £3999 | £3249 (per team of 5) which is an incredible £64.98 per person, per course for bookings made before 1st May 2019.

Due to the anticipated high demand for the Kingdom Hospitality Program, I’d encourage you to secure your team training slots today as I only have a limited amount of dates/times available and I wouldn’t want for you to have to be added to a long waiting list.

Just imagine how much peace of mind you will have and how much easier your life will be when you have a fully trained team of hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable staff, welcoming guests to your church and emulating Christ’s love for all nations (Mark 16:15).

Kingdom Hospitality FAQs

Why your Kingdom Hospitality Program?
When you walk with God, you live life forwards, but understand it backwards, so when I tell you that Kingdom Hospitality is a part of my divine assignment, I hope you will believe me. I did not have any intention of being in full-time ministry and was running an events company when I was called. In obedience to the Holy Spirit, I shut down the company and set-up Clue Ministries. After the first hospitality training session, I realised that I had the spiritual gift of teaching and so I started to explore different ways of imparting knowledge (as you will see from the many topics I teach). At the beginning of 2019, however, the Holy Spirit prompted me again to FOCUS on delivering a Hospitality training program to churches – and so here we are! Simply, put. I now understand that the gift of teaching, combined with my passion for hospitality and, 10 + years’ experience, is not a coincidence, but a part of God’s plan and purpose for my life and this ministry.

Who can/should take this program?
Anyone who is involved in a ‘person-facing’ ministry should take this course; this would include but is not limited to pastors, elders, deacons, deaconesses, greeters, meeters, interest coordinators and all ministry leaders (particularly PR, Events, Marketing/Communications).

What dates/times do you host live training?
I understand that most ministry leaders and team members are volunteers, hence why I operate a flexible schedule with live-training available Mon – Fri (AM & PM) with each session lasting up to two hours depending on interaction/participation from the team.

What if I want to train more than five people?
That’s fine! The additional fee for more team members is £79.98 per person.

What if we want an in-person training session?
I can arrange in-person team and congregation training; fees will vary depending on numbers, location and which elements of the course you would like for me to deliver. Please email me to discuss with your request.

We want the training but don’t have the funds/budget, what can we do?
As I’m sure, you’ll agree the program is outstanding value for the money. I understand, however, that small ministries/churches may have access to limited funds. Thus I’m happy to explore payment plans. I would also encourage you to seek funding (see examples) and partner with other local churches/ministries to share the cost. Please email me expressing your interest and your budget as I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out.

What equipment do we need to join the online training?
All team members will need access to a computer, smartphone or tablet and the internet.

What if a team member cannot make the live training session?
Just like an in-person session, we expect team members to turn up, if they cannot attend the course, they will still have access to the video training, but would miss out on the interaction with their colleagues. We’re happy for team members to be ‘substituted’ during the program.

Where do you operate?
One of the benefits of delivering online training is that we can help churches/ministries worldwide as long as you have the equipment mentioned above, we can train you.

Something Else?
If I have not addressed your query, please feel free to email me
